A Communications company that lacks it…

For a communications company, Hawaiian Telcom surely lacks that trait. I had an installation scheduled in November and no one showed up.

I took from work just to sit at home and wait for nothing. Called back to reschedule for a Saturday appointment on Jan 6tth. On Jan 3rd, I called back to reschedule again because I got scheduled to work on Jan 6th. Low and behold, installer still showed up.

Told him I called on Wednesday and rescheduled installation for the wed 1/24 because I had to work. Fast forward to today, installation is never going to happen.

Called customer service ti confirm appointment for today and they inform no appointment is scheduled for today. I give up and will just stick with Spectrum.

I called 2 times to get a return shipping label sent via email and never received it. Not in mail or junk I now have to drive to yr office to retu modem.

Bad internet

I have recently phoned them twice. The call goes to the Philippines. Ultimately there is nothing they can do. I could have phoned them everyday because my internet either stops entirely or fluctuates every day. I am getting ripped off and will give Spectrum a try. At least they put optical cable in front of my house. Only use them if there is no one else.

Phone not working for days due to technical difficulties in my area.

Handicapped son has no outside communication with a working phone. I have to pay a sitter to be with him if I'm not at home. This has caused stress for our entire family go with spectrum

Hawaiian Telcom - Worst internet provider ever
SNo customer support. Wait times if 2-3 hours 7 days at least to get anyone to come out!!! No one cares. Customer service literally said boo boo to bad for you and hung up after waiting 3 hours on hold to get ahold of someone. This is my living your messing with!!! No one cares at this company!! Do not do bussiness with Hawaii Telcom they are hideous!!

I got on hold around 3:30 and have been sitting until past 5:30 which might be closing time apparently but nothing was said over the phone so ive been waiting for nothing great

Unable to resolve issue

We have tried to get our phone number ported over from another provider and Haiian Telcom dropped the ball. In order to get it done we will have to pay another month's service so we can get number ported over. This will be $179 dollars. We cannot get response from any supervisor or manager. There is no number to for the main office. No way to get a message nor do supervisors call back ever even though we are told they will in 24-48 hours. We have Ben told that 3 times over the last month and never got a call back. There is no customer service whatsoever

Bad service

For the last three weeks my two phones haven't been ringing. On Tuesday, 1/26/2021, I tried calling to get repair help. The recording said the wait would be more than two hours, so I opted for a callback. No one ever called. I was on O'ahu for medical care on 1/27, so I couldn't call in that day. When I got home that evening, there was no voicemail message from HawTel, so I assume they didn't call. On 1/28/2021, after I finished my business in Hilo, I tried calling again. The message said I had a wait of 46 to 69 minutes. No one called back after two hours. I tried calling other numbers, but as soon as I notified them I was calling about a problem with my phone, the computer routed me back to the same spot in the voicemail tree. Since I had missed several important calls from medical providers, and I was in the middle of selling my house, the phone problem was getting to be an even larger problem. I finally called the number for corporate security and got a real human on the phone. The person that answered got in touch with someone in another department and I got a call within 10 minutes. The next morning, a repairman showed up to look at my system. He took readings with his meter that indicated the wiring inside my house was good, but he still insisted that my phones were defective. I explained to him that the likelihood that both phones failed exactly the same way at exactly the same time was just unbelievable. He insisted we buy new phones, and took off. We bought new phones, and are experiencing exactly the same problem, and now I can't get through to report it and the website is broken. Since the present company took over, service has been steadily deteriorating, and they always try to blame the customer's side of the system and then take forever to show up again.

I was calling because I did not agree with the date that I had arranged for my phone to be turned off at my old address and I wanted to pay the bill that I owed but I couldn't get straight answers from the customer service person the worst I've ever had from any company he was absolutely no stars below he does not deserve any stars but I have to push one because I can't get out of the system at all Cynthia Wilson
